This study deals with the temporal aspects of skilled behaviour. We will investigate the response of human subjects to sensory inputs which vary in time. Specifically our concern will be the relation between the temporal structure of an input and thatlof the associated output. Other properties of the experimental situation will be considered only to the extent to which they affect this relation.
