Samenvatting
An evaluation is made of the use of ramp metering. Two test cases in the Netherlands are presented. The strategy in both cases is based on capacity, offer and speed. The Coentunnel case and the Delft-Zuid case there is a differ because the situation on the motorway is different. In the Coentunnel case is a recurrent congestion and in the Delft Zuid case there is a non-recurrent congestion. Ramp metering in other countries is also discussed.
