Toward the development of a methodology for evaluating highway signs based on driver information acquisition.

By collecting and analyzing the eye movements of drivers under actual driving situations for more than 400 highway signs, the authors attempted to evaluate the signs in terms of driver's sign reading behaviour as related to the traffic signs, the highway, and the traffic situation.
