Samenvatting

Following a review of existing or proposed guidelines and standards for ATT (Advanced Transport Telematics) systems, the DRIVE II TELAID project reached the following conclusions: There are no complete guidelines for drivers with special needs (DSN), what is available cannot easily be generalised to DSN, and there are large gaps in knowledge. TELAID proposes some general guidelines applicable to all ATT systems and also recommends particular areas for further research so that guidelines for specific systems will better meet the wide ranging and diverse needs of DSN.
