The rapid developments in the area of driving automation systems mean that driver and automation will cooperate more-and-more with each other. Good cooperation is a key aspect to ensure traffic safety and a structured approach to evaluate the quality of cooperation between driver and system is needed. A framework with the aim to fulfil that goal has previously been created, but needs further development before it can be practically used. This paper exemplifies how the framework can be used to evaluate a lane keeping assistance system and presents a roadmap with the next steps to develop the framework further. This paper is a call to action to all stakeholders to get involved in the activities regarding these future developments.
