The characters of time when traffic accident has taken place are studied by using statistic methods to analyze some traffic accident data in Jiangsu province. The trend, which of traffic accident growing year by year in surge ways will keep within limits in the near future, is deduced from analysis the curve of time distribution about year on traffic accident in Jiangsu province. The peak hour accident follows the peak hour flow to appear from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 in day time. The peak period of death appears from 18:00 to 21:00 in night, is deduced from analysis of the curve of time distribution. It has very great guidance for taking distinct safety countermeasures in different periods to reduce traffic accidents in Jiangsu province (A).
