Samenvatting
Growth in road construction, traffic and accidents over the last 30 years in West Germany are examined. It considers the traffic control measures to deal with capacity and safety on motorways and network segments. these includes warning systems, variable traffic signs and fog warning devices. speed limits etc. Experiments with the ALI system are mentioned.
