The results of a study conducted in Toronto to examine certain features of the transportation demands associated with its central business district are described. This paper has three parts: 1) the study objectives and design and the techniques to obtain the information; 2) an analysis of the modal transportation choices and residential location decisions of office workers; 3) models of pedestrian circulation patterns in the central business district.
