Traffic safety programmes in the Federal Republic of Germany and in other countries : retrospective view and prospects.

Several European countries have issued national traffic safety programmes during the last two decades. The papers presented provide an overview of those programmes for some selected countries. Special attention is given to the most noteworthy measures and features. Finally, a summary of the most important actions taken and arrangements made.
