Samenvatting
Around the world, the tally of highway-related fatalities continues to grow. In 1986, the total number of fatalities due to highway-related accidents in Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States was approximately 133, 500. Step that should be taken is to join other associations and public agencies to make highway safety and highway fatality reduction a top priority and to define specific goals and objectives for local, regional and national highway safety programs.
