Samenvatting
The frequencies of injuries and their severities resulting from traffic, collisions are summarised briefly for Europe North America and the rest of the world. The high growth rates of traffic casualties in developing countries are emphasised. Proven remedial measures are summarised briefly to show that the technological solutions still offer enormous benefits, and examples are given to illustrate the need for a scientific approach to the prevention of injuries in traffic collisions.
