Samenvatting
State laws which regulate vehicle speed in the context of comparable provisions of the Uniform Vehicle Code are reviewed. Included in the discussion are the basic speed rule, statutory maximum speed limits, minimum speed regulations, and the authority of officials to establish limits through speed zoning. Additionally covered is implementation of the 55 mph speed limit in the state laws. This review concerns state laws in effect as of 1 Jan. 1977.
