Trafikbuller från grov vägyta. (Vehicle noise from coarse texture pavements.)

A comparison between vehicle induced noise from roads with surface dressing with maximum particle size between 16 and 25 mm is presented. Reference tests were made on neighbouring pavements with asphaltic concrete. The difference found between the noise levels from dressings with different chip size was 2-3 dB, whereas the difference between surface dressing and asphaltic concrete amounted to 5-10 dB.
