The training of professional drivers. Present and future. Paper presented at the 6th Annual Conference of the Canada Safety Council, Toronto, October 27-30, 1974.

It is concluded that the present driver training in many instances has been based on experience, self development, not really training at all. Therefore, the prime function of future driver training is briefly discussed after which suggestions are made for top priority in driver training and start programmes in order to keep up with the driver supply and demand situation.
