Samenvatting
This report from the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) is an analysis of inland transport infrastructures, the investment forecasts and main traffic flows in the 30 European countries of the ECMT. Information is given on future trends in passenger and freight transport, for road and rail, and inland waterways. Information on road rail projects and their costs is given. Maps are given in the annex to this report. The report was presented to ECMT ministers in Berlin, April 1997 for a debate on infrastructure development to be held in Helsinki during the 3rd Paneuropean Conference on Transport.
