Transport of people suffering from head-injuries and first-aid : report of the workgroup of the Head Injuries Committee (Committee of Neurotraumatology) of the World Federation of Neurosurfical Societies.

Firsts aid instruction is given in case of a road accident. Three stages are being distinguished in the first aid process: information, transportation and hospitalisation. The disadvantages of helicopters as a means of transportation are mentioned. Transportation by means of ambulances is analysed. Technical details of ambulances are given. Organisation of the first aid compartment inside an ambulance is discussed.
