Samenvatting

The main goal of the INTRAMUROS project has been the definition of flexible methodology to help the urban transport actors in the process of assessment of the level of integration in a urban transport system. The project, developed by organisations from six Member States and led by the Spanish company ETRA, has been co-funded by the European Commission under the Transport Research Programme of the Directorate General for Transport (DG VII). This document reports the work and findings of the project between January 1997 and March 1998. It intends to reflect not only the scientific and technical results of the project but also how they were achieved. The document starts with the presentation of the consortium and a detailed description and justification of the project objectives - i.e., the study of the integration of the different actors involved in urban transport through the development and validation of a conceptual methodology for assessing this integration -. Then, the state of the art review work is reported, and the methodology framework used by the project outlined. Finally, the last part of the document is oriented to help the user in the practical utilisation of the methodology. (A)
