Transportation, energy, and climate change: highlights from TRB's 2009 Annual Meeting.

As the nation's capital prepared for the historic inauguration of the 44th U.S. President, nearly 10,000 transportation researchers and officials arrived from throughout the United States and abroad to contribute to, learn from, build on, and participate in the more than 600 sessions, workshops, and events at the Transportation Research Board 88th Annual Meeting, January 11-15, showcasing research initiatives, results, and applications benefiting all modes. This article presents highlights from that meeting.
