Samenvatting
This thesis is a psychological study on the consequences of traumatic events, like combat stress, violent acts and bereavement. It contains a systematic analysis of theories and empirical research concerning this subject in psychology and related disciplines. The aim is to develop an integrated perspective on traumatic events and their consequences in terms of individual coping reactions.
