TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, No. 2157 includes 18 papers that explore behavioral biases in travel demand analysis; spatial-temporal student activity population; changes in travel behavior in response to weather conditions; the impact of public holidays on travel time expenditure; sociodemographics, activity participation, and trip chaining between household heads; multitasking behavior of public transport users; activity-travel patterns and their covariance structure; and data analysis of social interaction diaries. This issue of the TRR also examines the selection of high-occupancy-vehicle lanes, route choice behavior with mobile phone trajectories, mode choice and mobility tool ownership beyond 2008 fuel prices, sense-of-place attitudes as indicators of travel behavior, vehicle emission control strategies and public opinion, urban structure and socioeconomic barriers to consumer adoption of energy-efficient automobile technology, hedonic price model for light-duty vehicles, activity engagement in multiplayer online role-playing games, home-based work participation in traditional off-work hours, and influence of e-shopping on shopping travel.
