Samenvatting
The emphasis of this report is to extract information regarding exposure to motor vehicle accidents and therefore focuses on travel involving such vehicles and not on travel by plane or train. The objectives of this report are: to convey a methodology for using the NPTS data tapes to accident researchers; to provide a qualitative description of the travel characteristics measured; and to display a descriptive summary of several exposure measures and their relation to households, vehicles and drivers.
