Travel time errors in shortest route predictions and all or nothing assignments : theoretical analysis and simulation findings.

Travel time has been proven to be the most important criterion in car travel route choices. Because of this, most route prediction models applied in transportation planning only use travel time as criterion variable. In this paper the sensitivity of shortest-time route predictions is analysed in relation to errors in the link travel time input.
