Samenvatting
An attempt is made to systematize the identification, priority ranking, and treatment of roadside hazards, those side-of-the-road features and appurtenances that by nature and location make the severity of collisions higher than necessary. A consideration of the effect of roadway geometrics and the nature and location of the hazards permits the identification of objects as hazards to be made in a straightforward manner. A priority-of-treatment rating system is introduced, and it too is based on the relating to the hazards.
