Samenvatting

With over 500 million dollars, this year alone, being dedicated to the maintenance of the city's highways, sewers, water mains and bridges, traffic engineers must be innovative and resourceful in their efforts to keep vehicles moving on the city streets of New York. This paper takes a look at one of these bridges, the Queensboro, where reconstruction is in full force. The newest and most advanced examples of TSM have been employed and will be described.
