In Germany and in most other countries in Europe there is a great demand for truck parking space at or near the highways. But the demand is much higher than the supply. In Germany 70,000 truck drivers fight every night for one of the 40,000 truck parking spaces. To manage this problem and to give the driver the opportunity to solve his problem the first and independent Truck Parking Reservation System Highway Park started in November 2008 in Germany.
