Samenvatting
The heightened development of telematic-supported mobility, transport and information services has resulted from the increased bottlenecks in the use and further expansion of traffic infrastructure. An information service can only be successful if it provides the user with the adequately required precision and spatial and temporal accuracy. The recently developed Tele Travel System (TTS) is in a position to provide a foundation for information services that will specifically address these technological deficits. This paper describes the new TTS positioning technology and discusses the various information and communication services in the context of traffic and transport.
