Samenvatting
Coded results of the survey led to the following classification of faulty behaviour (1) accident-causing behaviour during preparation for overtaking; (2) accident-causing behaviour during overtaking; (3) accident-causing behaviour of the overtaking vehicle when rejoining the flow; (4) accident-causing behaviour of the overtaking vehicle; (5) accident-causing behaviour of an oncoming vehicle; (6) other accident-causing factors not attributable to overtaking, overtaken or oncoming vehicle behaviour. A comparison of these and other results obtained in five countries is presented.
