Tests are carried out with a view to determining the relationship between friction coefficient and the variables "slip'', ''acceleration'' and ''speed'' of a normal road vehicle. The results of these tests indicate a three-dimensional correlation between the variables "slip'', ''acceleration'' and ''friction'' coefficient'' and suggest a three-dimensional correlation between the variables '''torque at the driven axle'', ''acceleration'' and ''friction coefficient''.
