Samenvatting

The project investigated the extent of the problem of throwing objects at traffic, the characteristics of the offences and the interventions available to prevent them. Four approaches have been used: a literature survey; interviews with people with experience of the issues; collection of data from the police; and interviews with offenders. A number of common themes emerge from the different strands of this research. Overall there is agreement on the type of person who offends, the motivation which may be driving the behaviour, and on potential countermeasures. (Author/publisher)
