A list of essential requirements for safety equipment has been compiled on the basis of knowlegde on safety equipment for children, which has been gathered during impact tests, by manipulation during assembly and utilization, as well as by driving tests. Due consideration has been given to children's seats, belt sets and children's belts for children of up to 12 years.
