Samenvatting
From a study in Köln and Mettmann it is shown that accidents in urban areas lead to less injuries, when the drivers wear safety belts. The vehicle occupants next to the driver are earlier injured than the driver, even when they wore safety belts. The use of safety belts increased within half a year with 8%. The age and sex of the drivers which wear also safety belts were also studied.
