Samenvatting
In highway traffic there are 3 main causes for accidents: (1) defects from the vehicle or from the highway and their constructions; (2) faulty behaviour of drivers; and (3) influences of the environment including influences of the climate. These dangers can cause an accident, but do not solve the problem why accidents and in particular traffic accidents have such a high rate. In this thesis the study on accidents and traffic flows is described.
