Research has been done to the problems which arise when vehicles made a stop on a two-lane highway without parking possibilities. One of the problems arising is the increasing speed of vehicles on such a highway. The shoulders are mostly too soft for heavy vehicles. It is proposed to make these shoulders larger and harder. Advantages and disadvantages are given
