Samenvatting
The paper covers the investigation procedure using soil survey methods, Scale penetrometer and Benkelman beam with the use of the latter on work control. Design procedure is outlined emphasising the major aspects to be considered. Construction procedure using a number of separate small gangs on separate aspects of construction is described emphasising the flexibility of work that can be achieved economically. Design chats for use of penetrometer and Benkelman beam are included.
