The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has released a report that examines the technical and political feasibility of instituting a U.S. road assessment program (usRAP). The report examines European, Australian, and international road assessment programs and related initiatives; presents the results of a usRAP pilot studies conducted in Iowa and Michigan; explores issues associated with implementation of usRAP; and reviews potential next steps.
