Use and effectiveness of child restraints.

During the last five years seven out of the eight Australian states and territories have introduced some form of legislation to increase the protection of children travelling in cars. Child restraint fitting and wearing rates as observed in roadside surveys have been used to compare the different forms of legislation that have been introduced and to review the effectiveness of post-legislation publicity campaigns.
