Use of physiological measures in the assessment of driving load.

This paper describes the use of two physiological parameters, galvanic skin response (GSR) and heart-rate, to provide a quantative measure of the stress produced by the traffic environment. The results of previous research are discussed to try and isolate the stressful demands of the driving task. (See also B-869).
