Samenvatting
The means for assessing the risk of dangerous goods transportation through tunnels are reviewed. Probability and consequence are treated separately. Emphasis is given to the use of techniques which can be readily applied in practice but which yield credible answers. The manner in which risk levels thus obtained can be used to determine policy for dangerous goods transportation is also discussed. (A)
