This paper focuses on applications of a Floating Car Data system which isoperational in the province of Noord-Brabant: Mobile Traffic Services, supplied by LogicaCMG. By tracking mobile phones that travel in cars information is gathered about travel times and speeds of car traffic on roads. This information is essential for the deploying of dynamic traffic management. It fits within the key concept of Dutch traffic and transportation policy: reliable travelling time from door to door. After a pilot in which thedescriptive quality of the data was studied, the emphasis now lies on applying the data. The province of Noord-Brabant has compiled an action programme for applications on strategic, tactical and operational levels. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
