Samenvatting

This report uses police-reported motor vehicle crash data linked to Emergency Medical Services data and hospital discharge data to evaluate the relative risk of injury posed by specific roadside objects in Pennsylvania. The report focuses primarily on trees and utility poles. Measures of risk include police-reported injury, EMS reported injury and hospital-reported injuries. Trees were found by all measures of risk to pose a greater injury risk than utility poles. (A)
