Samenvatting
Probability analysis and quantitative evaluation of risk has been used for the last 10 years in France in the area dangerous goods transport. The French accident databank is an invaluable tool for verifying predictions of failure and for understanding pressures placed on materials in accident situations. This paper describes some of the applications of risk evaluation which have been carried out recently.
