Samenvatting
A working group was appointed to draw up recommendations for a uniform design of road lighting in the Nordic countries. Recommendations are presented for (1) external conditions when it is essential to arrange for road lighting; (2) different lighting classes based upon both luminance and horizontal luminance; (3) different classes of roads, parking areas etc. Different methods of calculation and measuring luminance are dealt with.
