Validation of a computer simulation of single-vehicle accidents by full-scale testing.

A series of repeated full scale tests with automobiles, to obtain vehicle response data for validating a previously devoted computer simulation of single-vehicle accidents is described. Comparisons are presented of measured and simulated responses of a test automobile to the various types of manoeuvres thus far investigated.
