A model was used to determine values of travel-time savings for personal business trips, social-recreational trips, vacation trips, school-trips, and work trips. Several route and motorist characteristic variables were studied to determine those that have an effect on the valuation of travel-time savings by motorists. Time saved and income were found to be the most important variables.
