Samenvatting
The so-called `sustainable safety' policy of the Dutch government is meant to create an optimal traffic structure. Directives for this policy are the principles of safety: functional use, homogeneous use, and predictable use. These principles of safety lead to a threefold of the main functions of: 1) residence; 2) opening up; and 3) traffic flow. For these different functions the requirements have been formulated. The measurements necessary to support these functions have been described so that traffic will follow the most optimal structure. To make sure these measurements will work, a public support is necessary. This report describes a way to increase this public support.
