On the first of May 1995 the `Wet Geluidhinder' has been changed. Due to this change all roads (i.e. motorways, highways, streets, etc.) are indicated with zones. Prior to this change only roads with more than 2450 mvt/etm were zone indicated. According to this law one must determine the possible excessive traffic noise for every road. An exception on this rule is made for roads where the noise-pollution is equal or less than 50 dB(A). This report describes a methodology to determine the intensity in small areas to produce a `nose-level-chart'. The intensities found are to be compared with the maximum intensity allowable, calculated according to the `Standaard Rekenmethode I (SMRI)'. This is a method to determine traffic noise. If the intensities, obtained by a simple traffic model are exceeding the maximum allowable intensities, more detailed investigations have to be performed in order to meet the registrations of the `Wet Geluidhinder'.
