Variable Message Traffic Signs.

A classification system for variable message signs used by traffic engineers in traffic control and management, is presented. The principle is that of means of operation and the paper suggests methods of use and indicates problems with various sites where variable traffic message signs may be used but where they may themselves cause problems.
