This Second Edition of the Vehicle Occupant Restraint Systems and Components manual is a compilation of SAE Standards and Recommended Practices pertaining to active and passive systems intended to provide safety restraints for occupants of various types of vehicles. Included are recommendations for design, engineering, testing and installation of restraint devices used in passenger cars, trucks, construction equipment and civil transport aircraft.
