Samenvatting

The impact behavior of two widely used barrier systems when placed on nonlevel terrain has been determined. The test site was designed to represent a roadside section defined by the road surface itself, a shoulder, a side slope, and a back slope. The road surface consisted of an existing concrete surface. The two roadside barriers tested were 61. 0 m long excluding the rigid anchors on both ends. Two sets of anchor foundations were installed to permit tests at two different barrier offsets.
