Samenvatting

Vehicular braking transforms kinetic energy principally to thermal energy and results in road tire friction forces which oppose the motion of the vehicle. The relationship between road /tire friction force, vehicular deceleration, and coefficient of friction are discussed. The relationships between road /tire slip and friction are also discussed.
